Details

The STIHL FSA 57 is a light and easy-to-use Battery Line Trimmer with plenty of power, ideal for medium to large gardens. When using the FSA 57 getting started on your trimming project is as fast and easy as pushing a button, the tool is so quiet you don't even need to put on ear protection.

Only weighing 2.6 kg (without battery), the lightweight design allows you to work outside longer without tiring and the shaft can be extended to your preferred height to ensure you are comfortable while using the tool. The mowing line automatically extends when the head is tapped on the ground and can be refilled easily without any tools.

The FSA 57 is part of our AK Cordless Range of tools with interchangeable batteries - the high quality STIHL batteries can be used in other tools in this range including a Hedge Trimmer, Blower, Chainsaws and Lawnmowers.

Quiet

The STIHL Cordless tools are so quiet you don't even need to wear ear protection. They are ideal to use in noise sensitive areas like schools, hotels and parks.
Loop Handle

Loop handle Line Trimmers and Brushcutters are ideal for trimming between bushes and shrubs and other areas where space is limited or when you need greater control over the tool. It is possible to adjust the position of the loop handle so it is the most comfortable for you.

Adjustable Shaft

The shaft of the Line Trimmer is adjustable at the push or a button to suit your height or the job you are doing.
Spacer Bracket Protects Plants

The metal spacer bracket protects your garden plants from being accidentally trimmed and can be folded up if not needed.

Neutral Battery Position

The Battery can be inserted into the tool in 2 steps. In the first position, the Battery does not connect with the contacts, in this position it is secure but the tool will not operate allowing for safe transport. In the second position the battery is completely inserted ready for operation of the tool.

A very easy to hold leaver that helps absorb vibration

AutoCut Mowing Head

The FSA 57 uses the Autocut C 3-2 which can be tapped on ground during use to automatically feed out the nylon line.

A: Under ideal conditions, the AK 10 battery will last up to 25 minutes, mow up to 125 m² of grass or 625 m of lawn edges.

Tips

Extending the life of your nylon

Before using your nylon line for the first time, it's a great idea to put in water and leave it to soak for 12–24 hours. This makes the line much more flexible and less likely to break.

Cleaning your machine

Once you've finished using your Line Trimmer, take the battery out and use a soft brush to remove any debris, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth.

Storing your Line Trimmer

Make sure your FSA 57 is kept in a dry, secure place with the battery removed when not in use. Keep this machine out of the reach of children.

When using your Line Trimmer

Because the FSA 57 uses an Autocut® mowing head, it is only suited for trimming grass. To avoid damage to the head, do not attempt to cut thicker material such as wood.
