Warranty

2. Tools used in a professional application receive a 6 month warranty

The STIHL MS 170 is an affordable Chainsaw with an excellent power-to-weight ratio that lets you tackle trees up to 14 inches (35 cm) in diameter.

This Chainsaw has many of the same design features as the STIHL professional saws used by forestry workers, such as the Anti-Vibration system for more comfortable handling, and Ematic Chain Lubrication for less oil consumption and optimal lubrication. For these reasons, the MS 170 Chainsaw is an excellent choice for home users seeking a high quality and reliable Chainsaw at an entry-level price.

The MS 170 comes with a domestic 2-year warranty and you'll have access to ongoing service and support from your local STIHL SHOP.

NOTE:

Your Chainsaw will require engine oil and bar lube. We recommend STIHL HP ULTRA TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL and STIHL SYNTH PLUS CHAIN LUBRICATION for your machine.
