STIHL AutoCut C 3-2

REFILLING THE STIHL AUTOCUT C 3-2 MOWING HEAD

When the trimmer line in the AutoCut C 3-2 has run out, you can replace the line spool with pre-wound mowing line. This is the easiest option and is as simple as popping out the spool and replacing it. It is possible to replace just the line, if you are more experienced but this is defiantly more difficult.

REPLACING THE SPOOL IN A AUTOCUT C 3-2

  1. 1. Press in the two buttons on each side of the mowing head to remove the white cover.
  2. 2. Take out the empty spool.
  3. 3. Poke the lines through the eyelets to put the new spool in; and push it into place.
  4. 4. The grooved parts on the white plastic sleeve must be slotted into the correct sections inside the head itself. See image below.
  5. 5. Click the cover into place; trim off any excess line.

  5. 5. Grip the head and turn the black cap in the direction of the arrows to wind up the trimmer line into the head.
  6. 6. Leave around 10 cm of line either side; trim any excess line.

IS YOUR NYLON LINE BRITTLE AND HARD TO WORK WITH?

When Nylon Line is stored it can become brittle and difficult to work with, we recommend soaking the new mowing line in water for at least 24 hours before loading it in your Grass Trimmer. Hydrating the nylon line increases its elasticity. You can keep the mowing line wrapped around the reel and place it directly into the water.
