Details

The STIHL FSA 57 is a light and easy-to-use Battery Line Trimmer with plenty of power, ideal for medium to large gardens. When using the FSA 57 getting started on your trimming project is as fast and easy as pushing a button, the tool is so quiet you don't even need to put on ear protection.

Only weighing 2.6 kg (without battery), the lightweight design allows you to work outside longer without tiring and the shaft can be extended to your preferred height to ensure you are comfortable while using the tool. The mowing line automatically extends when the head is tapped on the ground and can be refilled easily without any tools.

The FSA 57 is part of our AK Cordless Range of tools with interchangeable batteries - the high quality STIHL batteries can be used in other tools in this range including a Hedge Trimmer, Blower, Chainsaws and Lawnmowers.

Run time on recommended AK 10 battery: Up to 25 minutes

Run time on AK 20 battery: Up to 50 minutes

Run time on AK 30 battery: Up to 60 minutes

Loop Handle

In the first position, the Battery does not connect with the contacts, in this position it is secure but the tool will not operate allowing for safe transport. In the second position the battery is completely inserted ready for operation of the tool.

Tips

Extending the life of your nylon

Before using your nylon line for the first time, it's a great idea to put in water and leave it to soak for 12–24 hours. This makes the line much more flexible and less likely to break.

Cleaning your machine

Once you've finished using your Line Trimmer, take the battery out and use a soft brush to remove any debris, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth.

Storing your Line Trimmer

Make sure your FSA 57 is kept in a dry, secure place with the battery removed when not in use. Keep this machine out of the reach of children.

When using your Line Trimmer

Because the FSA 57 uses an Autocut® mowing head, it is only suited for trimming grass. To avoid damage to the head, do not attempt to cut thicker material such as wood.
