Details

The STIHL HSA 100 battery Hedge Trimmer is a powerful and versatile trimmer designed for gardening and landscaping work by professionals.

The maintenance-free EC motor is powered by the STIHL AP System lithium-ion batteries, and the HSA 100 delivers a constant stroke rate, even when cutting through thick branches. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces engine vibrations, making the HSA 100 comfortable to use even during extended periods. The multifunction handle, which can rotate 90° to the left and right at the touch of a button, allows for easy cutting in any direction.

The double-sided cutting blade ensures precise cuts every time, and the screwed-on cut protection means you can work safely and confidently. The wide 34mm tooth spacing allows you to trim thicker hedges.

The HSA 100 is part of our AP Cordless System; the battery can be used on a wide range of other tools from the AP range.

Two-Handed Control

The HSA 100 is easily started by activating both switches on the loop handle and the rear handle at the same time. The cutting speed is continuously variable using the rear control – for a fine and precise cut. Especially practical: the two-handed design is suited for both left-handed and right-handed users.
Pruning System

The single-sided precision-ground and double-sided cutting blades produce a very clean cut when trimming hedges. The 33° cutting angle delivers excellent cutting performance allowing you to cut vertically, horizontally, and in corners with precision and ease.

STIHL Electric Motor (EC)

The STIHL brushless Electric Motor (EC) is extremely energy efficient and does not require any maintenance. It ensures the tool has optimum power output at all times. The motor runs quietly and generates very low vibrations.
Cutting Blades with Optimised Cut Protection

This hedge trimmer is designed to give you a precise and polished finish on your hedges, thanks to its diamond-ground blades. The integrated cut protection, which overlaps the working blades, ensures that the blades won't make contact with your legs, reducing the risk of injury.

Rotatable Multifunction Handle

Q: What should I wear when using this tool?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes, eye protection, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.

Q: How long will the Battery last?

A: The recommended AP 200 Battery will last up to 150 minutes, this does depend on what is being cut and how the tool is being used.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A: To fully charge an AP 200 Battery it takes 200 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 150 minutes with the AL 101 charger.

Q: Are the Batteries Interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the PRO Cordless System use the same style of battery. There are 7 different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the HSA 100, we recommend the medium capacity AP 200 battery for the perfect balance between wieght and power, but you can use any of the other batteries in this range.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: Will the blades need sharpening?

A: Keeping the blades sharp will give a neat cut on whatever you are trimming. If you notice that the blades are getting jammed easily or the machine is struggling, the blades may need sharpening. Our STIHL SHOP retailers can do this for you.

Q: Does this tool come with a warranty?

A: Yes, the HSA 100 comes with a 2 year warranty if used in home or farming applications and a 6 month warranty if used professionally.
