The MS 661 C-M Petrol Chainsaw is designed for professional use within forestry and timber harvesting. It features both the advanced 2-MIX engine and the STIHL M-Tronic (M) technology. The MS 661 C-M offers great acceleration and sustained maximum torque, with low vibration levels. This is a powerful high-performance Chainsaw that is extremely robust and durable.

NOTE:

Your Chainsaw will require engine oil and bar lube. We recommend STIHL HP ULTRA TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL and STIHL SYNTH PLUS CHAIN LUBRICATION for your machine.

Anti-vibration System

HD2 Filter

This air filter keeps even the finest dust away from the engine, which increases the service life of the engine. The HD2 filter element is made from a robust long life material that can be washed repeatedly. For best results we recommend the use of STIHL Varioclean and warm water.

STIHL M-Tronic™ System

The STIHL M-Tronic™ system electronically manages the air/fuel and ignition requirements of the saw. Ensuring optimal performance in all operating conditions. This technology also provides a simplified starting procedure.
STIHL ElastoStart

A spring or rubber element in the starter handle is used to balance out the peck compression resistance when pulling the starter cord. This reduces the perceived starting effort by up to 30%.

Side Chain Tensioner

There is a tensioning screw on the side of the Chainsaw through the sprocket cover. This is easy to use and removes the need for contact with the sharp saw chain.
Controlled-delivery Oil Pump

Different bar lengths, wood types and sawing techniques require different amounts of oil. The controlled-delivery oil pump allows the user to select just the right amount of oil for the job.

Decompression Valve

The decompression valve, vents compression in the cylinder to reduce the cranking effort.
