Details

The self propelled STIHL RMA 448 VC Battery Lawnmower has a large 46 cm/ 18" cutting width and is ideal for mowing larger lawns. It's self-propel function has a variable speed setting control (STIHL Vario Drive system) which means you can easily adjust the mowing speed between 2.0 to 4.5 km/h using the accessible lever on the handle.

The RMA 448 VC has a robust polymer housing and a folding 55L grass catcher, with fill level display so you know exactly when to empty the catcher. The sturdy mono-comfort handlebar is easy to adjust to suit your height and ensure your comfort during operation, it also means you can easily access the catcher. In addition the handlebar is foldable in one easy movement for compact storage .

This Battery Lawn Mower also offers features such a as spring-loaded cutting height adjustment lever, flow-optimised blades and automatic eco mode which ensures longer battery life.

The RMA 448 VC comes with a domestic 2-year warranty, plus a 10-year warranty on the polymer body (not associated parts), the handle, and the catcher. You'll have access to ongoing service and support from your local STIHL SHOP.

The RMA 448 VC Cordless Lawnmower is part of our AP Cordless System range of tools with interchangeable Batteries - the Battery can be used in other tools in this range including a Hedge Trimmer, Blower, Line Trimmers and Chainsaw.

Carrying Handles

The two integrated carrying handles make the Cordless Mower easier to load or return to the upright position. They can also be used as lashing points, for example for securing the machine with a strap during transport.
ECO Mode Saves Battery Power

This feature increases or reduces the speed of the blade depending on the conditions, this allows you to get the most life from a single battery charge. Eco Mode can be switched on or off.

Flow-optimised Blades

All STIHL Battery Lawn Mowers have a flow-optimised blade, which is designed to lift the grass, cut it neatly then push it straight into the catcher, without using unnecessary battery life, moving the air around in the deck.

Mono-comfort Handle Bar

The unique design of the mono-comfort handlebar on the RMA 448 VC means that the handle can be simply adjusted to suit your height or folded over completely with one press of the lever. It also gives you clear access to the grass catcher - there's no need to pass it between the handles, just lift it straight off in one movement.
Foldable Grass Catching Box

55 litre plastic catcher box. The folding mechanism makes it particularly easy to open and empty. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying.

Self Propelled

Self-propelled mowers will save you time and effort. The mower mechanically moves forward so less effort is required from you. The vario speed drive on the RMA 448 means that the speed of the mower can be easily adjusted to suit the job in hand. Simply increase the speed when mowing large, flat areas or decrease it when mowing smaller areas or around obstacles to make mowing effortless. The perfect cut, at the perfect pace!
Second Battery Slot

You can transport and store a second AP Battery on the Lawnmower for convenience.

FAQ'S

Q: What size garden will it mow?

A: With the recommended AP 300 S Battery, this Lawnmower will mow a medium sized lawn of up to 500 m².

Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?

A: To fully charge an AP 300 S Battery with an AL 301 charger, it takes 70 minutes, but you can charge it up to 80% in 55 minutes.

Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the AP Cordless System use the same style of battery. There are 4 different Batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the RMA 448, we recommend the larger capacity AP 300 S Battery to provide more power. The AP 100 does not have enough power to operate this machine effectively.

Q: What Should I Wear?

A: We recommend that you wear sturdy boots or shoes and snug-fitting clothes and eye protection.

Q: Will I need to sharpen the blades?

A: Keeping the Lawnmower blades sharp will give your lawn a better finish. You can have your blades sharpened at your nearest STIHL SHOP.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: How should I clean my Lawnmower?

A: If you wish to clean your Battery Lawnmower use a damp cloth or soft brush. For safety reasons tie your hair back and wear gloves.

Q: Where should I store my Lawnmower?

A: In a dry clean place away from where children have access.

Q: How do I look after my Battery?

A: Don't get it wet or use it in extreme temperatures.
