Details

Powered by a low emissions engine, the SH 86 C-E professional Vacuum Blower can do many tasks in the garden, easily converting from a Shedder to a Blower. Equipped with a special shredder blade on the fan wheel that reduces garden waste into a bag that can be easily emptied into the compost bin. The STIHL ErgoStart system ensures a smooth start, soft grip handles and a four-spring anti-vibration system provide comfort and help reduce operator fatigue.

NOTE:

Your Vacuum Blower will require engine oil. We recommend STIHL HP TWO STROKE ULTRA ENGINE OIL for your machine.

ErgoStart Easy Starting

STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.

HD2 Filter Reduces Maintenance

This air filter keeps even the finest dust away from the engine, this reduces maintenance. Due the special material that it's made from the filter can washed easily, for example with STIHL Varioclean and warm water.
Collection Bag

The clippings accumulate in a easy-open zippered bag which can then be emptied into the compost.

Average

Blower vac has some design drawbacks, such as the inability to go direct from blow to vac. Also does not handle small objects such as bark when vacuum use, as objects other than leafs get jamed between fan and housing. Power is adequate though.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You have some fair points the conversion from Blower to Vac is not automatic, however most people do get the hang of it quickly, take your tool into your local store if you needs some tips and they will give you a demo. As you state the Blower/Vac it is more suited to picking up leaves, dust and other lightweight debris as oppose to heaver material like bark. STIHL SHOP

Quite pleased with the results of this one purchased the blower/vac because my property is surrounded by neighbouring property’s that tend to leave leave’s all through my gardens and paths and the experience of sweeping and racking them out often to keep it clean looking has become time consuming and frustrating. She does what she was intended to do on the paths happily clears the path on idle for blowing -squeeze the throttle for the gardens to clear it out then once you’ve done the route switch her over to vac slap the bulk of the pile in the compost or bin by hand to save some time then use her like a vacuum cleaner to tidy the job up 👍.

Blew a huge amount of wet poplar tree leaves off the driveway

Easy to start. Put it together quickly, Easily blew all the wet poplar leaves off the driveway. Havent used the shredder yet think will try when leaves dry off.
