Details

The FSA 60 R is the most powerful trimmer in the STIHL AK Battery Range, giving users exceptional performance. It is solid and robust for tougher grass trimming tasks in the garden. Weighing only 3.3 kg (without battery), this Grass Trimmer is light and easy to manoeuvre. The loop handle ensures great freedom of movement and easy handling.

The brushless motor virtually eliminates the need for maintenance and the variable speed trigger regulates the speed of the mowing head during use, this combination provides more control and power efficiency compared to the DC (single speed) motor used in the entry level models.

This weed eater has a durable full length aluminum shaft and you can use different cutting tools to suit your job. The STIHL AutoCut C 6‑2 comes with the Line Trimmer but for tougher grass you can purchase the DuroCut 5‑2 or the PolyCut 6‑2. The heads can be exchanged easily without tools.

This is a high quality Line Trimmer and to give you additional reassurance, it comes with a domestic 2-year warranty and you'll have access to ongoing service and support from your local STIHL SHOP.

Run time on AK 10 battery: Up to 13 minutes

Loop Handle

The comfortable loop handle ensures great freedom of movement and easy handling between bushes, shrubs and other areas where space is limited. It is possible to adjust the position of the loop handle so it is the most comfortable for you.

Interchangeable Cutting Tools

The cutting tools for STIHL FSA 60 R can be changed easily without the need for tools. You can fit either the AutoCut C 6-2, PolyCut 6-2 or DuroCut 5-2 to this Line Trimmer
Spacer Bracket Protects Plants

The spacer bracket protects your mowing head from damage, it also protects plants from being accidently trimmed.

STIHL EC-motor

The STIHL brushless electric motor (EC) is very energy efficient and practically maintenance free. During operation, the electronically controlled EC motor permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly.
Ergonomic Control Handle

The FSA 60 R has a locking lever which is self-resetting to prevent unintentional switching on of the tool. The speed of the cutting head can be set in 3 stages and adjusted as required.

AutoCut Mowing Head

The FSA 60 R comes with the STIHL Autocut C 6-2 mowing head which can be tapped on the ground during use to automatically feed out the nylon line.
Speed Regulation

The speed of the mowing head can be adjusted to three different speed levels.

Direct Drive

Direct-drive, means there is no gear reductions. This will result in a longer service-life.

Q: How Long Will the Battery Last?

A: Under ideal conditions, the AK 20 battery will last up to 25 minutes, mow up to 250 m² of grass or 1,250 m of lawn edges.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A .To fully charge the battery it takes 180 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 135 minutes.

Q: What size garden will it maintain?

A: The FSA 60 is the ideal grass trimmer for medium to large gardens.

Q: What type of cutting attachment does this use?

A: This Linetrimmer uses an AutoCut® 6-2 mowing head, which uses STIHL Green Nylon Line 2 (mm)

Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the AK Cordless System use the same style of battery. For the FSA 60, we recommend the AK 20 battery for the prefect balance between power and wieght.

Light-weight line trimmer

I have had three FSR 85 2-stroke scrub cutters in the last 3 decades, and as I age they get heavier and hotter on the forearm. This DC unit is so much easier to handle, especially on steep slopes. The only problem is that I ****** if I can understand how to reload the spool - the diagram is far from clear.
