Woman refilling line trimmer nylon line

When you know how, replacing the mowing line in your Grass Trimmer is easy! But if you don't have the correct technique it can be incredibly frustrating.

We have step by step instructions for how to replace the line in all the common cutting heads in the STIHL range.

BEFORE LOADING YOUR TRIMMER LINE

When Nylon Line is stored it can become brittle and difficult to work with, we recommend soaking the new mowing line in water for at least 24 hours before loading it in your Grass Trimmer. Hydrating the nylon line increases its elasticity. You can keep the mowing line wrapped around the reel and place it directly into the water.

When the trimmer line in the AutoCut C 3-2 has run out, you can replace the line spool with pre-wound mowing line.
